    Help establish new and innovative clinical trials through initial study support. Clinical trials are the standard of care in pediatric oncology, and they are the key to safer, more effective treatments and cures. Lurie Children’s has more than 250 clinical trials open for enrollment and offering hope to families. Support at this level will help physician scientists pursue innovative research ideas that could benefit children now and for generations to come.

    Help Grow Survivorship Programs

    Help establish increased support and outreach for long-term survivorship programs. While more than 85 percent of pediatric cancer patients now survive their disease, most face lasting medical, cognitive and emotional effects from the therapies that saved their lives. As more children survive cancer, philanthropy is essential to strengthen our rapidly expanding survivorship program, STAR. Your support can help provide these survivors with specialized, coordinated care, ongoing monitoring, and education to ensure they can thrive into adulthood.

    Gene and cellular therapies are transforming outcomes for children with previously life-threatening or untreatable conditions. Lurie Children’s currently offers five commercially approved gene and cellular therapies, with additional treatments on the horizon. Help us bring even more options to Lurie Children’s to ensure more children can benefit from emerging, potentially life‑saving treatments.

    The success of a clinical trial depends on trained clinical research professionals (CRPs) to manage the study, from enrolling participants to reporting data in a timely and accurate manner. Like many healthcare professionals, CRPs are in high demand due to labor shortages and a very competitive marketplace. With more resources, we can better recruit, train and retain invaluable CRPs so we can provide every child with cancer access to innovative new therapies.
