Frequently Asked Questions
What are Feel Good Gifts?
Feel Good Gifts are symbolic of the people, programs and research that help us discover cures, care for kids and support local communities. Gifts are actually donations that are used when and where they are needed most to make the biggest impact. When you purchase an item for a friend or loved one, they receive a unique, memorable gift that makes them a part of creating healthier futures for every child and you make a meaningful contribution to Lurie Children’s. Your gift is tax-deductible and you will receive an emailed receipt.
Where does my gift go?
Feel Good Gifts are donations that support Lurie Children’s. The costs, services, equipment and programs described in the gift guide are representations of different services areas in the hospital that need support. We may re-direct funds if programs or priorities change, but we use our best efforts to adhere to the original intent of the gift while also fulfilling the needs of the hospital.
What does my donation do?
As a nonprofit hospital, we rely on donations for everything we do at Lurie Children’s. Your gift helps us provide groundbreaking care, conduct life changing research and support our local neighborhoods. We are a 501(c)(3) charity.
Do I have to give a Feel Good Gift to a loved one?
No! You can purchase a Feel Good Gift just to support the hospital and do not need to choose the option to send an e-card. You’ll still receive an email confirming your donation and a receipt for tax purposes.
