Butterfly Release

Butterfly Release

For kids, time in the hospital means time spent out of school away from schoolwork, friends and everyday routines. That is why the Education Program at Lurie Children's plays such an important role for our patients. The Butterfly Project, an annual summer tradition, walks children through the butterfly life cycle. Not only is it a valuable learning opportunity but a welcome distraction for kids facing challenging times. At the end of the program, patients set the butterflies free into their new environment. This gift can help provide necessary supplies for The Butterfly Project.
